Meet the team - Ray Currie

We are delighted to introduce Ray Currie, our new Sales Manager for Scotland and Ireland, who recently joined our growing sales team! We chatted with him to find out his background, goals and why he chose to join the business.

Ray, tell us a little bit about your background.

I have worked in sales for almost 40 years and have experience in sectors including local government, commercial and industrial. For the past 20 years, I have worked in the leisure industry, and fortunate to work in both the leisure and residential markets which have given me broad knowledge and understanding of both the products and the needs of both holiday lodges and caravan parks.

What made you choose Sunseeker Holiday Homes?

There are two main reasons: my long-standing relationship with current Sales Director Richard Moore and the range of models. I am excited to showcase the 2024 range to customers in Scotland and Ireland and be involved in the Great Holiday Home Show in Harrogate in September. Customers will love the refreshed colour schemes and designs in the new range and help the business grow in my regions.

What will the first six months in your role at Sunseeker be focused on?

I will be busy targeting as many customers in Scotland and Ireland, building brand awareness and making as much noise as possible about Sunseeker Holiday Homes. I plan to invite them to view our 2024 range at our Cottingham Parks Showground and the Great Holiday Home Show in September. Sunseeker Holiday Homes offer innovation and style across their model range and, most importantly, is backed by high-quality manufacturing.

And finally, tell us about you personally.

I am married to Sharon and have two grown-up children and three grandchildren. Maisie, my 13-year-old Golden Labrador, makes up the family.

As well as eating out and enjoying good food and wine (and the odd Michelin-star restaurant as a treat!), I am a passionate campervanner! I own a 1992 VW T4 Autosleeper called ‘Vernon’. I love to visit places I have never been to, explore, and attend the odd VW festival, which is great fun!

Thanks, Ray; it's great to have you on board and all the team with you—the best of luck with the months ahead.
