Sunseeker Holiday Homes are delighted to have donated a range of fabric and materials to the Hull Extra Care Services for use by their residents.
Following the design and production of our 2023 range of lodges and holiday homes, we found ourselves possessing several reams of luxury fabric and materials. In line with our company ethos of supporting the environment and local community, we opted to find a worthy cause for putting the materials to good use.
We identified the Hull Extra Care Services, operated by The Riverside Group as a deserving candidate to whom we could donate the materials. The Riverside Group operate three innovative developments in Hull designed to help those with care needs to live independently. Harrison Park, Redwood Glades and Cecil Gardens offer independent accommodation with a community and additional support on the doorstep. As part of their community-focused support, a range of communal activities are available, including crafting within groups.
Dan Rodwell from Sunseeker Holiday Homes met with Ruth Westoby, Events and Wellbeing Co-ordinator at Redwood Glades, to deliver the materials and meet some residents. Enough fabric was donated to support crafting activity across all three sites and was warmly welcomed by the team and residents of the Hull Extra Care Services.
We can’t wait to see some of the creations by the residents in due course.
